Coaching for Authentic Confidence
Most people aspire to be self-confident and, particularly in the working world, confidence is often measured by how forthcoming and outwardly bold you are or how you promote yourself and your ideas with ease. However, it’s important to differentiate between authentic and superficial (ego) confidence, which results from insecurities and external expectations.
Real confidence feels grounded and calm. It is a profound inner trust that remains steadfast and modest. It is a belief in yourself that others can’t diminish because it’s so deeply rooted in the knowledge and understanding of your own worth. On the other hand, surface-level confidence is likely to fluctuate depending on external factors like achievements, compliments, or insults. It feels volatile, false and fleeting. It is often a deceptive self-assurance created by an insecure ego.
To be authentic means to be true to your own personality, values and essence, regardless of the external pressure to act otherwise. My one-to-one coaching aims to cut through the superficial in our world and the impact it has on our wellbeing – and support women to build confidence from the inside – a heathy, happy confidence steeped in self-worth, trust, purpose, potential and a deep sense of belonging – that will take them everywhere they want to go, and perhaps further still.

You have evolved and will continue to with the passing of time and lived experiences. By spending time with yourself again now, you’ll uncover your current truths and be able to shape your vision, establish your values, develop your boundaries and find the self-trust and belief to be able to confidently express yourself from the inside out.

People-Pleasing, Soul-Receding
Constantly worrying about what others think of you can lead to people-pleasing behaviour where obtaining approval from others becomes more important than your value to yourself. When you look outwardly much more than inwardly, you loose connection with your soul – your very essence, your true self. Ignoring and pushing away your own wants and needs in order to accommodate others is a sure-fire path to emotional overwhelm and burnout, whilst having everyone else to blame. This loss of self-connection can lead to feelings of low self-worth, lost identity and a vicious cycle of guilt, shame and self-aversion.
Learning to Self-Serve
In our world today there are far too many extrinsic measures of worth and not nearly enough intrinsic. Society is teaching us to constantly look outside of ourselves, which is a big reason I became a Personal Development Coach for women; so that I can support my clients to start looking inwardly, to grow in self-worth and to thrive from the inside out. There’s so much of your ‘self’ you can serve and nourish, that contributes to inner health and wellbeing.

Initial Discovery
A questionnaire and thirty-minute discovery call will help us to decide if we are right for each other and identify your potential goal areas. Then in our first coaching session together, you will explore and lay out intentions for yourself that come from deep within and set the foundation for goals that light you up.
Safe & Brave Space
Our sessions together offer the space and time for you to speak whatever is on your heart without fear of judgement or disapproval. They are a chance to be brave, to dig deep, to face fears and to explore what you really want and how you will get there - with a coach who is 100% pro-you!
Heart-Led, Feelings-Based Connection
Every goal we set is a result of how you feel, and not just how you think. With two-way open-hearted curiosity, we move beyond the ego-voice and find the inner-voice that is not so often heard and understood. The time that passes in a coaching session is a beautiful alchemy of curiosity, deep feeling, appreciation, intention, strategy, creativity & action.
Action & Accountability
Your two to three goals are worked towards over six or 12 sessions. Together we will set action steps in each session to bring you closer to achieving them, and I as your coach will hold you gently accountable - with plenty of encouragement between sessions. Breaking actions down in this way, makes the goal less overwhelming, more consistently inspiring, and totally achievable.
Coaching offers the space, time, commitment and accountability to get closer to your own aspirations. Remember that the world will always be your Oyster.

What is coaching?
Coaching is unlocking and harnessing a person’s potential to be the best version of themselves and to maximise their own performance. It is non-directive and focuses on guiding and supporting someone to explore and realise their own answers and actions, based on their own deep inner knowing.
What is authenticity coaching?
Life Coaching, with a focus on helping and supporting a client to feel true to themselves and be showing up in life as their authentic self. In a culture that breezily tells women they can ‘do it all’ but without the systems in place to support them, many are finding themselves overextended, and experiencing a ‘loss-of-self’ in commitment to so many other people and causes. Authenticity coaching helps to regain and restore balance between how someone realises their own needs whilst meeting the obligations that other relationships bring.
Who hires a life coach?
Anyone who is keen to set some goals and prepared to be taking positive action towards them over the course of a coaching series. Life Goals are related to how someone is living, and what they want to accomplish in the short term, perhaps towards an overall vision for themselves.
Is coaching a type of therapy?
Coaching and therapy serve two distinct purposes, but there is overlap. Coaching is about change and action and focuses on setting and achieving goals. Therapy is a licensed profession with a focus on mental health and emotional healing. Therapists are usually trained to be trauma responsive. Both coaching and therapy however, create a positive and healing environment which is a catalyst for change.
What is the difference between a coach and a consultant?
Whilst both are about supporting a client’s learning, choices and right action – the approach and process are quite different. Coaching aims to support people to find their own answers through guided sessions and exploration and consultancy is usually conducted by an expert in a specific area who offers technical and professional advice. A coach will work as your equal, with thoughtful and sincere inquiry, without judgement. They will encourage, support and inspire your self-discovery and personal growth. A consultant will use their knowledge and experience in a certain area to be prescriptive, diagnose a problem and suggest a solution.
What sort of goals are set for a coaching series?
Goals can be in any area in your life that you feel you need to work on: health and wellbeing; career; finance; relationships; spiritual; community and self-development. Check out the following page for more information about types of goals:
How many goals are set in a coaching series?
Usually 2 to 3 goals are set in any of the above areas. The length of coaching series depends on the sorts of goals and this can be determined in an initial discovery call.
How many sessions should I have?
It really depends on what you want to achieve through coaching. A one-hour session will help to explore a block or sticking point and will help explore what positive action is needed to move forward. A series of 6 sessions will help guide and support you towards 2 to 3 firm goals that you feel are achievable over the course of 3 months. A series of 12 sessions will help guide and support you with 3 goals that you are likely to achieve within 6 months. A discovery call will help to determine the best coaching timeframe for what you want to achieve.
How did you become a life coach?
I trained for 6 months over 14 modules with The Beautiful You Coaching Academy, which included sitting an exam and working with pro bono clients to achieve my Life Coach certification. I also trained in Rational, Emotional Behavioural Therapy (REBT) with Transformation Academy. This is a form of therapy which guides people to take back their power by learning how to direct their own thoughts, emotions and behaviours.

As a Coach who values and actively encompasses diversity, equity and inclusion, I embrace the opportunity to work with people from diverse backgrounds and value the personal learning that comes from that. I work with any person who is keen to set some transformational goals for their self-development – as long as there is a strong connection and we feel we are a good coach-client match!
