When I am Selfless, I Am Missing

Today I am celebrating one of my own coaching goals. Today I feel totally and authentically me. I am no longer lost, but found.

I have mastered how to stop deflecting from myself.

To stop frantically assessing what other people would want or expect of me every time I am faced with a decision.

To not feel panicked by the stress of predicting and assuming what that might be.

I have learnt to ensure that my own wants, needs and values come through in everything I do.

My wants and needs still reflect what is best for others, BECAUSE of my values. I am loving. I am giving. I am empathetic. That will never change and I am no longer frightened that it will.

I am no longer fearful of what it looks and feels like to please myself. No longer worried what others might think of me to do that.

In my skin today, I am someone much greater, simply because I am wholly present for me. I have the ability to be freely giving, but without total selflessness.

Because when I am selfless, I am not just flawed, I am missing.

If I am operating without sense-of-self, where are my values? Where is my voice? Who am I and why am I important in this world?

The key to your authenticity is in the exploration of these very questions. And your authenticity will always be a work in progress. It’s dynamic and not static, because it moves and deepens with you – and your lived experiences. But being authentically you and staying true to yourself is something you will never unlearn once you know how.

My journey in authenticity and self-discovery will never end. If you’re ready to embark on yours, I’d love to walk by your side whether it be through coaching towards specific goals, or simply from offering you as much enlightening content as I can churn out!
